Who We Are
BarkTown Dog Rescue & Sanctuary, Inc. is not a breed specific rescue and we save dogs of all breeds, sizes and ages. In addition, we rescue dogs that require extensive medical treatment and care. We work with our friends and donors to raise the funds necessary to provide life-saving treatments for the dogs we rescue. Our goal is to save dogs that are in the most need of our assistance including older dogs, medically challenged dogs and Pit Bull Terrier type dogs.
We realize that overpopulation is the biggest reason that so many dogs lose their lives in shelters in Georgia and we are committed to helping those in need with spay and neuter assistance and all of our adoptable dogs are sterilized prior to adoption.
BarkTown Rescue & Sanctuary, Inc. was founded in June 2016. BarkTown Rescue is a Georgia Department of Agriculture licensed rescue and a non-profit organization.
